LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS
Through painting landscapes, Fincher changed her painting style from classical realism to a softer
romantic impressionism. This style of painting is reflected in her children's paintings today.
Dry pastel on handmade archival rag board. Under painted with acrylics in hot pink. When Fincher first discovered impressionism, she as her mother, an artist, how would you describe "IMPRESSIONISM". She replied, "It's the play of light." Fincher loved that response and named this image after her mother's words.
Painted during a workshop that Fincher led. When her youngest daughter turned 7, she asked why there wasn't a painting of her? Fincher quickly added an accent of red to the hair and said this is you. Together they named it "Where Dreams Begin."
Painted on location with a model in a garden in Atlanta Georgia. The message shares that we are dappled with opinions, both light and dark. But knowledge and true light can be found in God's word.
